The Role

We are hiring a Principal Consultant to strengthen and grow our Clean Energy Finance practice.

This role focuses on senior, high impact permanent hires across the organisations funding the energy transition, infrastructure funds, private equity, project finance teams, developers, banks, lenders and advisory firms.

You will operate as a trusted market specialist at the intersection of capital and clean energy deployment, delivering complex searches with credibility, discretion and precision.

What You’ll Be Doing

Search Leadership

• Lead retained and exclusive mandates across investment, project finance, advisory and development functions
• Deliver senior appointments including Investment Directors, Heads of Project Finance, Portfolio Leads and CFO-level roles
• Manage end to end search processes with rigour and attention to detail

Client Advisory

• Partner with infrastructure funds, energy investors, lenders and developers
• Advise on hiring strategy, team build sequencing and market availability
• Develop long term relationships built on trust and insight, not transactional hiring

Market Positioning

• Build and own a defined niche within Clean Energy Finance
• Stay close to deal flow, capital markets activity and project pipelines
• Contribute to thought leadership and market insight within PACE

Collaboration

• Work closely with leadership and sector teams across nuclear, renewables and advanced energy
• Support and mentor junior consultants where appropriate

What We’re Looking For

• Strong recruitment experience within Clean Energy Finance, Infrastructure or Energy Finance
• Comfortable engaging with senior investors and finance leaders
• Commercially aware and capable of running retained mandates
• Detail driven, measured and relationship-led
• Ambitious to build a respected specialist position within a focused, high calibre firm
