💻50k to 65k

3-6 years of experience ideally

Our client is a specialist engineering business that designs the foundations holding offshore wind turbines in place. They're busy and growing, with a strong pipeline of large offshore wind projects across Europe.

What sets them apart is that they build their own engineering software instead of just buying it in.

That's where you come in.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be joining a in-house software team and sit right next to the structural engineers. Not three floors away, and not behind a ticketing system. You'll learn how they work, spot what slows them down, and build tools that let them design faster and with more confidence.

  • Building and improving engineering applications in C# and .NET
  • Turning engineers' workflows and calculations into clean, reliable software
  • Running large batches of design calculations in the cloud on Azure
  • Owning features end to end, from the first whiteboard chat to deployment
  • Keeping the codebase healthy with testing, code reviews and CI/CD

What You'll Bring

  • Solid commercial experience with C# and .NET
  • Hands-on Azure experience
  • SQL Server or similar relational databases
  • Git and Azure DevOps, or similar tooling
  • Enjoyment of working closely with technical, non-software people
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics or similar, or equivalent experience

Bonus Points

  • You've built software for engineers or scientists before
  • Words like finite element, fatigue or optimisation don't scare you
  • Some Python up your sleeve
  • A genuine interest in renewables

Why You'll Like It

  • Your code goes straight into the design of real offshore wind farms
  • A small team where your ideas actually get built
  • Brilliant engineers to learn from, and they'll be just as keen to learn from you
  • A friendly, flexible culture with zero corporate bureaucracy
  • A role at the heart of the energy transition
  • Opportuntiy to work anywhere in the world twice a year.
